Hi everyone!!!  Last post of April!!! 800 page views, I am so happy.  Thanks for your support!!  This is my Wishlist #1.  In posts like this, you get to submerge in the blogger tastes for fashion, and in her/his style.  I spend most of the time on my computer doing online window shopping, it is the best way to shop since you can explore every style available, and just keep looking for more prices and varieties of the styles.  It lets you get ideas from everywhere, and incorporate them into your wardrobe!!  I hope you like it.  Smile :) XO's

wishlist #1 by maytessentials featuring belted dresses

1.  I love how neons are being incorporated again.  This beautiful neon rhinestones necklace from Etsy's is sold out, but you can still check other items from the seller here.

2.  I love how the 'hi - low cut' dresses and skirts looks, but apparently I am not going to be able to own one before the style loose its moment of glory.  I tried so many of them and I still can't find the perfect one for me, wish me luck!  This one is from Charlotte Russe.

3.  Lace blouses are my thing.  They are the perfect vintage touch, so retro! And this one looks perfect for the upcoming summer, and it's reversible!!.  Available in Mod Cloth.

4.  Leggings go with everything!! A dress, a skirt, a long blouse, or even a short one with shorts or skirt above!  The best part of them is that they came in so many playful prints and textures you're never going to stop having fun with them.  Available here.

5.  I just felt in love with the ones I already bought, I could fill both of my arms of these!!  There are plenty of color to chose from and different words on everyone.  Click here to buy them.

6.  Biggest statement piece! I would love to find the perfect white blazer.  This is a classic that would give any outfit a glam - formal look.  This one is from Aritzia.

Mani - Mania: Caviar Manicure by Ciaté or Fish Egg Manicure by TBPB!

Hi everyone!! I would like to introduce you to The Black Pearl Blog.  Her name is Sara and she's a young beautiful mother who will blew off your mind with her amazing blog, and her unique beauty.  I am her follower and I couldn't resist to try the loveliest, funniest, and messiest manicure idea of all!!  She posted (about half a month ago or more) a manicure named Multicolor Fish Egg Manicure (click here to see her amazing photos of it), and I felt in love instantly, so I order the micro beads needed from eBay (click here) and play the patient girl until they arrived, like half and hour ago.  And yes!!! I left everything I was doing to put this manicure into work.  Simple!  Paint your nails with any color you want (HINT: preferably a dark color, I chose a clear one and I can see it underneath the spaces where the micro beads doesn't reach well).  Be sure to apply at least 2 coats, and when the last one is still wet, dip your fingers on the micro beads, or throw them over your finger (I applied the first coat on every nail, then went nail by nail applying the second one and the micro beads to make sure the nail polish were completely wet when I drained the micro beads over).  You can blend them with your fingers or leave them play freely to have more texture on the nail; then let the excess fall; and you're done!! The history behind this enjoyable mani begins with Ciaté, but I wouldn't pay 25$ for it when you can make your own version much cheaper and diverting than that!!! Enjoy! PS: The micro beads manicure wheel is small so be sure to buy more than one if you would like to keep doing this mani (I am pretty sure you will, I am going to order more, haha!).

2 in 1! - My WE in Photos & Own the Look for Less!

My Weekend in Photos:

Hi everyone!! I would have to say that this weekend was one of my favorites!  I had a blast with my boyfriend, my cousin, and her girlfriend.  We went to San Juan for shopping, eating, have some Yogen Fruz yogurt, and a ride, on Saturday.  Late night I went to hang out with my girlfriends for a while.  We dance and talked all night, I really spent a great time with them.  Today (Sunday), I rested for a while, then went to the movies with my boyfriend (saw Wrath of the Titans) , and then to eat at El Meson (one of my favorites places).  When we finish we went to Walgreens to buy some trail mix and almonds for snacking during the week.  Here are the best shots I could get for you this weekend.  I included some of the stuff I bought!! Own the Look for Less:  

I was going to the movies with my boyfriend and suddenly, without noticing, I pulled together an outfit that I saw at Paper Crown's.  As soon as I looked in the mirror I realized it was perfect for a 'Own the Look for Less' Post.  I was wearing a Forever 21 beige silk blouse (featured in my first OOTD), white short pants from Marshalls, black tights, and gray pumps from Make Me Chic.  I wear my chunky arm party (featured in picture number 9 above), a curly-messy side braid, pearl earrings, and red lips from NYX cosmetics - Pure Red (click here for a review).  I hope you like it, Smile :) XO's

Mani - Mania #2 !

Hi everyone!!! A super quick post to show you today's NOTD (for Mani - Mania #1 click here).  Finally today I got the time to feel like I had nothing to do (which is not true at all), and decided to change my nail color.  So I paint my nails with a really deep and metallic purple  from Sinful Colors (no. 929 - Let's Talk), and add to my ring fingernail my two Essie's Lux Effects glittery top coats (Set in stones [featured here and here] and A cut above).  Lately manicures are being all about having the same base color on 8 of your nails, and then painting the ring fingernail with a totally different color, or add a glitter coat, or just make a completely different design.  Don't be afraid to give this mani a try.  Glitter came to stay!  I hope you like it!!  Smile :) XO's

My fav - fab 10!

Hi everyone!!! As I was planning, here is a post about my favorite 10 pieces from my own closet!!  I know that probably 5, would've been a little less overwhelming; but this was harder than I imagined.  Not because my closet is huge, but because I have lots of pieces that I could buy over and over again.  So here are my favorite - fabulous 10!  I hope you like them.  Smile :)

10.  Polo Ralph Lauren dress shirt (in purple).  I love this shirt because it gives the simplest outfit, a polished look.  I try to wear it with white shorts and some casual wedges for day time.

9.  Anchor blouse (I can't remember if it was from ModCloth or Urban1972).  I love this blouse because I love marine themed clothing, and accessories.  I love the combination of white, navy blue, and red.  I like to wear this blouse with shorts, or a pair of jeans and flats.

8.  Forever 21 Paisley Oversized Top.  You would think I am crazy, but I've never wear this blouse; and yes, it's one of my favorites!!  The color combination, the pattern, and how it looks its just lovely!  Although I've never wear it, I would wear a pair of shorts or a denim skirt with some light and gold jewelry.

7.  Charlotte Russe's faux leather moto jacket.  I love how this buddy looks because it gives every outfit: edginess!  I use to wear it with a LBD or a lace blouse below.

6.  Zara's Denim Dress.  This dress has almost 5 years and a half.  I bought it when I was on my senior year at high school, and now I am at my senior year at college.  And the best part: it still fit me!!!!  This is one of the pieces that I could pay for, over and over again, I just love it.  I wear it with a black or white (neutral) blouse below and a pair of heels for dinner, or flats for day time.  

5.   Marshall's asymmetrical dress.  I love the pattern of this dress, and it fits gorgeous on every body type.  It is really loose in the upper body section, and then it goes tight on the lower body section; so it gives the perfect body illusion.  Guess what??  I've never wear this dress either!!  I am just waiting for the perfect activity to rock it!!

4.  Forever 21, Heritage 1981 dress.  This dress is a dream come true to me!  I love it, I just can't stop wearing it.  It goes perfect with a pair of heels, preferably pumps!!

3.  LBD with sequins.  I bought this dress at a super bargain in a boutique, 20$!!!  I love it so much that I can't find the perfect moment to wear it.  Although, it will go perfectly with black tights and pumps.

2.  White lace dress.  I bought this beautiful dress on a boutique.  I love lace, it's one of my favorite textures, and when I saw this dress I couldn't resist! Perfect to wear with every shoe type and/or color.

1.  My top 1 favorite piece from my closet!!!  I LOVE this dress.  I love it how it looks from the front, and not mentioning the back.  I love the shoulder detail and although it's a dress with horizontal lines, its fabric and shape, are completely flattering.  I wasn't wearing Spanx on that picture!!  PS: I talk about this dress here.

Winter Kate & House of Harlow 1960

Hi everyone!!! So here I am! I am sharing with you a sketch I made from Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960, which are Nicole Richie's clothing and jewelry/accessories lines since 2009.  The collections are available globally at high-end department and specialty stores including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Selfridges, and ShopBop (as said on Winter Kate's official brand description).  These brands are colonized by vintage but feminine looks, with an edgy and romantic air all together.  Florals, pastels, vintage silk, and velvet will enhance the lovely designs.  What I love the most about all, is that Nicole Richie herself wears and rocks almost everything of her designs.  So I decided to share with you my favorite ones from the Spring Collection 2012.  I can not wait to see what brings up Summer Collection 2012! I hope you like them!  Smile :)
